UPDATE: Guidelines For Vulnerable Educators In State Schools

UPDATE: Members of the UPE are to send an email to their Heads of School, and put highrisk@ilearn.edu.mt in CC in the same communication.

The Union of Professional Educators – Voice of the Workers has been in contact with the Ministry of Education in relation to the directive issued to safeguard vulnerable educators. The union has made it very clear that it will not be retracting its directive, and will stand by its directive stating :

Educators, who are members of the UPE, who fall under the vulnerable category (reference is being made to the following link https://deputyprimeminister.gov.mt/en/health-promotion/covid-19/Documents/mitigation-conditions-and-guidances/Guidance_For_Vulnerable_Persons.pdf) are to remain at home and be available to work online.

Members of the UPE are to advise their respective Heads of School of their state of vulnerability. They are to remain home and be available to work online.
