The UPE is putting pressure on the Government to release funds owed to LSE2s in Church Schools.

The Union of Professional Educators – Voice of the Workers is soliciting the Government to release the funds which LSE2s working in Church Schools, and who were appointed in 2017 and 2018, are entitled to.

It must be pointed out that several LSEs working in Church Schools, who were appointed in 2016 but graduated with their colleagues working in state schools (who in turn were appointed in 2017), also need to be included within the allocation of funds.  It is only in this way that all this group would finally be financially at par with their colleagues.

The Union would like to remind the Government that its agreement with the Church, whereby all educators working within Church Schools are to be equally remunerated, needs to be honoured.

We hope that this prolonged procrastination will soon come to an end and that within the coming days educators will receive that which they are due. In the meantime, the Union is in communication with all stakeholders to ensure that this matter reaches its resolution once and for all.
